Are you interested in how Christian worldview and therapeutic practice come together in the field of communication sciences and disorders? Join us for a special virtual live lecture hosted by the School of Science, Health & Technology titled “Counseling from a Christian Perspective.”

In this session, you’ll hear directly from Dr. Yvana Uranga Hernandez, Associate Professor and Program Director for the MS in Speech Language Pathology at Biola University. Drawing from her clinical expertise and theological insight, Dr. Uranga Hernandez will introduce key principles for counseling clients from a distinctly Christian perspective, integrating compassionate care, evidence based practice, and a holistic understanding of the person.

This lecture offers a meaningful preview into the heart of Biola’s graduate level training, where faith, clinical skill, and character formation come together to prepare practitioners who serve with excellence.

💬 Bring your questions and engage in conversation about Christian integration, counseling strategies, professional preparation, and how Biola equips future speech language pathologists to support clients with wisdom, empathy, and biblical grounding.

You’ll also meet our Graduate Admissions Counselor, who will guide you through the admissions process, prerequisites, deadlines, and what makes a strong application to the MS in Speech Language Pathology program.

Whether you’re just beginning to explore graduate study or are actively preparing to apply, this session will help you discern your next steps and envision how Biola can prepare you for meaningful, Christ centered impact in the lives of those you serve.
